Olav Ketilsson has be involved since the early 90`s in sustainable investment themes in resource efficiency, waste management, water and waste water treatment and sustainable food production.
Mr. Ketilsson is co-founder and Managing Partner, Global Acceleration Partners (GAP). Established in 2012, GAP adresses global needs for clean energy, food, water and infrastructure by accelerating deployment of resource-efficient technology, products and services into emerging markets.
In 2010, he founded Matorka Holdings, an Icelandic landbased sustainable aquaculture company. Access to the country´s abundant clean water and renewable geothermal energy provide competitive advantage and produce high quality clean seafood. Matorka is an industry leader in carbon neutral aquaculture.
Mr Ketilsson was President and CEO of Firmament AS, the Petter Olsen family investment company, from 1999 until 2010 investing principal capital along sustainability principles. He was a board director in Timex Group BV for more than 10 years and managed the family´s assets in Canary Islands, Spain, as well as other international holdings.
From 1992 until 1999 he was involved in resource efficient businesses with major corporations, such as Suez and Norsk Hydro, as well as being an entrepreneur.
In 1990, Mr Ketilsson participated in the creation of World Business Council for Sustainable Development as Technology Director and wrote the report on Technology Co-operation for Sustainable Development which was presented to the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio in 1992.
He has an MBA from IMD, Switzerland, and a Science degree from Cornell University, USA. Mr Ketilsson lives in Switzerland.
