Open Innovation Manager, Emerald Technology Ventures
Michal Natora the Open Innovation Manger and Industrial IT sector specialist at Emerald Technology Ventures. He is responsible for developing and providing open innovation services for Emerald’s corporate investors who are looking for strategic value as well as financial returns. In addition, Michal evaluates investment opportunities in the industrial information technology sector.
Emerald is a globally recognized investment firm in the areas of energy, water, advanced materials and industrial IT. Founded in 2000, Emerald raised three Venture Capital Funds, completed more than 50 venture investments and is a trusted partner in Open Innovation for industrial organizations. Emerald has offices in Zürich (Switzerland) and Toronto (Canada) und has managed assets of over USD 660 million to date.
Prior to joining Emerald in 2014, Michal worked as a consultant for a premium automotive manufacturer. He was responsible for managing the quality of software development and data generation processes for electronic control units. Prior to that, Michal was a scientist for over three years at the neural information processing group of the TU Berlin where he conducted research in signal processing, stochastic optimization and machine learning.
Michal holds a MBE from the Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology which included seminars at the Jönköping International Business School, Kelley School of Business and SKK Graduate School of Business. He received his PhD from the TU Berlin and completed his Diploma in Physics at the ETH Zurich and Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau.
