A Dutch citizen born in 1970, he has been active in private equity/venture capital and corporate finance for 20 years. He is a Senior Fund Partner of Green Gateway Fund 2 responsible for deal sourcing, structuring and portfolio management. Mr Heijsteeg has full-cycle private equity experience from investment sourcing, due diligence, investment structuring, building and monitoring to exiting of investees. He led close to 40 investment and exit transactions. Mr Heijsteeg is hands-on involved in managerial issues, including strategy, financials and organisation. He is one of the founders and investors in e2 Cleantech1. He is a member of the supervisory boards of Aquarion, Primekss, The Mobility House, three Portfolio Companies of the GGF1, and QWIC, a Portfolio Company of e2 Cleantech1. Casper Heijsteeg was also managing partner and a member of the investment committee of Eagle Venture Partners, a subsidiary of Gimv that focuses on investments in Russian growth-stage companies. He was a managing partner and a member of the investment committee of the Eagle Russia Fund which specialised on high-growth Russian companies. Prior to that, Mr Heijsteeg managed a sub-portfolio of nine companies ($33m) of Eagle Venture Partners. Exits occurred, on average, after 3.5 years. They included IPOs, trade sales to international companies and MBOs. The investments in which Casper Heijsteeg played a decisive role from due diligence to exit showed a gross IRR of 32% and a cash-on-cash ratio of 2.9x. From 1995 to 1998, Mr Heijsteeg worked as operational director of EWIC; prior to that he was employed by ING Bank. He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam. His native language is Dutch; he is fluent in English and Russian, and also speaks basic German.
