What happened during Cleantech Capital Day 2017?
We saw some 50 companies pitching, lively discussions during the breaks and approximately 200 participants representing cleantech companies, investors and industry contributing to the success of the event. We are now left with the feeling of happiness knowing that we have been able to provide an “observation tower” to Nordic cleantech development, as described by one participant.
On Monday morning, we explored the globalization of cleantech and three specific market regions for cleantech, namely Asia, Germany and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Nordic Cleantech Open finals were held during Monday afternoon. Congratulations EnergyNest for winning the first prize, SoilScout coming second and ifoodbag receiving the third prize!
During the networking dinner, Malmö Cleantech City Award was given to Strongcrete – a company, which the jury assessed can concretely improve the construction industry.
Tuesday morning brought the panellists Alexander Bigge Lidgren, Jan-Olaf Willums and Ludwig Goris together to discuss cleantech as an investment category, moderated by Markus Moor. Brief conclusion was that the development of cleantech is looking bright!
After some years had passed from the last Hall of Fame awardee, we also saw the opportunity to induct a great cleantech promoter and accelerator, Alexander Bigge Lidgren, to the Cleantech Scandinavia Hall of Fame! Check out his award speech here.
Thank you for all the participants and sponsors for the great Cleantech Capital Day!
